i recently purchased the htc evo, and about threw my phone out the window in frustration with texting, until i discovered swype. still not as fast as a real keyboard, but much more tolerable. sprint service blows so i brought it back and went back to at&t and got the htc inspire. im desperately trying to follow the guide on how to install the swype beta, but im stuck because i cant figure out how/where to download the usb driver for my phone? i keep seeing people saying to find it on the manufacturers site (looked & failed) or to "look around" but im lost. can anybody help?
thanks!

The only USB driver for HTC Inspire that I've been able to get to work on my 64-bit XP is from

Download PdaNet

For what it's worth, I cannot get the sync program from HTC to install. Also, the sync installation package installs a 32-bit driver that does not work on my machine.

just a quick note here, your htc sync will not work or recognize your phone due to something you would never ever think of changing. your itunes folder in your "my music" folder. rename it or move it somewhere else, any where else and your htc sync will install and recognize your phone like a dream.
cant tell you why, but it works.
