When I unlock my phone sometimes a new page will open up in my chrome browser...the page that opens varies, sometimes it's mobi.stats sometimes it's something suggesting an ship to download. Other times it says I have a virus that can affect my personal information and passwords. I never click on the link but how do I get rid of this. It's the virus real? Is my privacy affected? This time I copied the link that was in the browser

I have removed dl apps and it continues. ..is there another way to remove malware? Is it really affecting my privacy and device?

Back up your data (to Verizon Cloud or Google Drive) which won't save any malware (unless a picture or video can be infected...have not heard off yet). Please know your GMail address & password. Then Factory Restore: by
Ensure the device is power off.
1.*If screen is frozen,*remove/reinsert battery.Press and hold the*Volume Down buttonthen press and hold the*Power button. When the System recovery screen is displayed, release both buttons.Select*Factory data reset.
2. *Utilize the Volume buttons to highlight and the Power button to select.Select*Yes.
3. *Allow several minutes for the factory data reset and reboot processes to complete.
4. *To setup the device after the reset has completed, refer to*Initial Activation and Setup.

If using Verizon Cloud, update it to current version, run Cloud and go to the top left 3 line menu, select tools, select Restore to retrieve your data. Good luck!
