HELP Epic 4g or Sidekick 4g

I am loyal to Sprint however not satisfied with pricing and data speed service. Took phone for repair and no change....long story short I got the sidekick 4g while waiting for sprint tech team to run "diagnostic" anyways...I hate the sidekick doesnt have flash on camera but either way I can use my digital one if need be. Screen quality is different yes..but speed on tmobile 4g is FAST! Im talking 10mps min !!! up to 21 and currently upgrading to 42! I mean I was shocked, yet it throttles @ ..anyways which one would you guys pick..tmobile is 79.99 unlimited everything and data throttle after 2GB so 85.00 for that and insurance and if I keep hotspot its 14.99 so total of 101..tax so 110..plus discount so bout 100 bucks......Sprint is 116.98 before tax and discount, 69.99 plan 450 anytime unlimited mobile and data...10 for "premium" data...29,99 hot spot.., prior to adding hotspot was at 80.15 per month with tax plus discount......did I buy right product or should I stick with t mobile

idk thats kind of a personal preference. My PERSONAL experiences with T-Mobile is that they have horrible coverage and thats actually the reason why I switched to Sprint last year. Plus i think the Epic 4G is a better phone overall.

I have the samsung epic 4g. I have my phone rooted as well, so I do not have to pay $30 extra for tethering. When you have your phone rooted you do not have to worry about if I spend 2GB my data will be throttle. The devs have been able to get rid of that. If I were you I would keep my epic get it rooted and have free WiFi tethering and be happy. I will keep my phone for a while.

I have the samsung epic 4g. I have my phone rooted as well, so I do not have to pay $30 extra for tethering. When you have your phone rooted you do not have to worry about if I spend 2GB my data will be throttle. The devs have been able to get rid of that. If I were you I would keep my epic get it rooted and have free WiFi tethering and be happy. I will keep my phone for a while.

I am so torn man I am texting is so natural on the sidekick and its pretty similar software just no camera flash and screen quality....but the 4g speed is KILLER im talking 10mpbs !!! crazy fast

Based on being with T-mobile for 5 years and Sprint for 2 years i would say t-mobile but Epic 4g on paper and on wifi u see that it better phone then Sidekick 4g.

Samsung took a few thing out from sidekick that epic have . U cant play no adobe flash and no air unless u hack sidekick 4g.

If u want u can look at specs.

Epic 4g is 4 inches
Sidekick 4g is 3.5

epic 4g have 1ghz processor but it can be overclock to 1.6ghz
Sidekick 4g have 1ghz also but only can be clock to 1.2ghz overclock

Epic have about 500 mb of internal storage once u put CM roms on it.
Sidekick have about 385 mb


Epic 4g have better keyboard
Sidekick 4g have nice keyboard but it doesnt have everything epic keyboard have.


Epic4g have no extra apps beside sprint stuff and some sammy.
Sidekick have to much social apps i rather install myself then having sammy or t-mobile put them.

Does tmobile have an android phone that is comparable to the epic. With a full qwerty?

Can an android on tmobile bypass there throttling after 2gb if rooted on a custom rom?

I'm sick of sprints drasticlly reduced coverage area and I'm ready to make a switch, I have been thinking vzw but they charge too much for data, I like tmobile unlimited but I'm not sure about what phones the have that are any good, and I would hate to be throttled.

Yes and no. T-Mobile has the g2 which is stock android or the mytouch 4g slide which is brand new and new tech inside. After 2 gb you are reduced to edge which isn't too bad considering i get about 600 kps
