Help! Error 406, wont download any apps?

Hello all,

I'm new to the tablet world. My husband bought this transformer prime for me because I am in the hospital for the next 8 weeks. I am trying to download apps from the market but continue to get the message, "could not download due to an error (406)."

Can someone tell me what this means? I am hours from family so no one will be here to take this machine back to Best Buy until next week. I would like to fix it from here if possible. Could it be the hospital firewall??

Im no expert either , I just got mine a week ago, so far I havent ran into that error message yet,but try to restart it or on the bottom right corner click it then press the press the wife icon should be the 5th one and then press it back on again. Hospital connection really sucks. That happened to me on my laptop when my son was in the hospital. Hope this helps

Have you tried logging into the market through your web browser?
If not give that a try and select your prime as the destination for the download.

Thanks guys. I contacted ASUS directly and thdy said it was an error within the software that came with the machine. We tried wiping and starting over but it didnt help - I have to take it back and get a new one. :-(
