Help-Fascinate displaying chunky gradients

My girlfriend has a Samsung fascinate that is displaying gradients horribly. They are really chunky and give it a posterized look. I rooted her phone a couple weeks ago but we haven't done anything to it since then so it essentially is stock with root access. I tried to take some screenshots and emailed them to my phone to display them here but the problem doesn't show in the pictures which makes me believe its an issue with the display. I took some picture with my phone to show what it looks like.

The first shows the gradient in the Facebook widget all messed up.

The second you can see it in the YouTube widget's gradient.

and the last you can see when she is taking a picture everything is off. The colors don't blend and you can especially see this in the desk and carpet here.

Now keep in mind these pictures are how it looks like in person. The weird gradients are not from a poor quality image which was uploaded. I verified that they all appear as they do on her phone. Has anyone else had this issue?

Update: ok. I figured it out and its not what I wanted to hear. She has dropped the phone a couple of times so I tried to bump it against the palm of my hand a couple is times and the problem got worse but then a few timemore went away. As soon as you push the power button to shut the screen off it comes back (the squeezing action must move the screen). I feel like there might be a loose connection or something like that. She got her phone off is eBay so there is no warranty or insurance. Anyone have any ideas?

Try getting an otterbox or a rigid case that may hold the screen in place.
Also, try flashing the superclean rom and jt's voodoo kernal with voodoo color. That may help as well

or open it up see if cable is loose, also drop it in a bag of rice over night so let the rice absorb any residual moisture

Your hardware is better utilized with SC. He has a physical hardware problem, not with performance. You're trying to say that flashing a new rom will make the internal connections tighter again? That's like saying upgrading your version of windows will fix a bad LCD monitor board.
