Help - Flashing an unlocked verizon fascinate

Guys,

I am using an unlocked Samsung verizon Fascinate here in India over a CDMA network. It's using Android 2.1 right now and m planning to move to 2.2.
Now my question is --> will flashing a new custom rom remove all the settings/configs done to unlock the phone for my current network? So after rooting and flashing a new ROM and upgrading it to 2.2, will I be able to use my phone over my current network here with the new ROM?

can you please tell me how you went about flashing the phone to run on the reliance network...?? i recently bought the same verizon phone.. and i'm abit worried as to how i can do it...a fast reply would be much appreciated...
