Help getting ADB driver installed please

I have drivers for the Epic 4G installed, but the 3 entries in Device Manager for it are:

- "SAMSUNG Mobile Modem" (Modems)
- "SAMSUNG Mobile Modem Diagnostic Serial Port" (Ports)
- "SAMSUNG USB Composite Device" (USB Controllers)

I need a Windows 7 x64 ADB driver so that I can root it, but following links in various rooting topics only leads me back to driver packages which apparently do not have an ADB driver in them.

I've already tried "usb_drivers_GalaxyS_x64.zip" (18.8 MB), no joy. That package just reinstalled the same 3 items listed above. I know I'm looking for an driver that, once installed has the word "Android" or "ADB" in the name in Device Manager.

I am using the stock cable (so I'm guessing it's not the cable), and USB debugging is enabled.

Thanks!

The stock cable is horrible - that could be your problem. Links to the proper drivers can be found here.

Fixed.

My error was having both options set to "Modem" via ##8778#. Setting them back to PDA fixed it.

That's what I get for working on this thing until ~2am.
