I have an unrooted Hero on the Sprint network. Last night I went to power down my phone and bring it back up as usual (something I do often to clear it) anyway, now my phone will not load Sense.
It gives me the error " Sorry! The application HTC Sense (process com.htclauncher) has stopped unexpectantly. Please try again. Forceclose " My notification bar loads up with all the normal things ie... Lookout, mail, etc... and lookout even let me do a virus scan of the phone which turned up no virus detected. I can recieve and answer calls when they come in. But no Sense will ever load up. I have done battery pull a gazillion times and just "waited it out" overnight what else do I do? Anyone have this happen ever? Please help - Thanks!!

That's pretty strange. I get this once in a while on my evo but it normally just reloads sense by it self and that's it. Did you do anything to your phone? Like putting an application on it and it happen? Maybe try looking the last apps you installed. Otherwise you probably also could make an factory reset. Just make sure you save all you app through appbrain.

Thanks for reply - The last app I put on it was the paid version to Abduction (World Attack) and Goggle Sky map. I downloaded both yesterday. I can't do I factory reset because I can't even get to "settings", Sense won't load to let me look at menus. I can't get "appbrain" because I can't get to the Market.... If I have to reset how do you do it maually without going through "settings"?

go to settings/aplications/manage applications, then scroll down to you find "htc Sense" click it and clear the data and cache. this should force a clean reload of sense.

Thanks for the replies guys.... ended up doing a factory reset by holding down the "home, back and power" keys .... tried everything to avoid it but had to do it anyway.
