Help! I think I hard bricked my galaxy s3 (sgh-t999v)

I was flashing a rom on my phone but it got bricked. I tried using a USB jig to put it in download mode but it wouldn't work on my s3 even though it worked on my friend's phone (same model). What should I do?

Are you able to boot into recovery? If you flashed the ROM, you should have made a backup through recovery. Once recovery loads you should be able to restore it once the backup is reloaded.

I tried but none of the button combos work. The phone doesn't respond to anything I do. Btw thanks for taking the time to help.

That says "hardware failure" to me.

How can I fix a hardware failure? I've noticed that even before bricking the phone that the phone wouldn't transfer media or connect to anything via USB cable. Is there anything I can do?
