Help importing music into Huawei Mate 10 Pro

Hello guys, so I recently just made the move from iPhone to Mate 10 Pro but I can't seem to import any music into the device.
I have a MacBook so I don't know if that makes any difference, but when I plug in my Huawei, HiSuite opens up. I go to Files on the left, select the Music folder and Import mp3 files. Nothing shows up on my device, I don't see anything in the Music app itself or the Files app. Can anyone help??

You might be better just copying and pasting your music files with File Explorer on your pc straight into the Music folder on your phone. That should pretty straightforward.

I really need to pay more attention when I wake up. Just noticed you're using a Macbook which I've no experience of so not sure if it's the same method as Windows
