Help in choosing device

Hello --

I am trying to find a user-friendly Android device for my wife to use. She gets frustrated very easily with electronics, so I need something, not necessarily the latest, greatest, or fastest, that will be solid and not too glitchy. I use a Verizon Motorola Droid 2, and she has often said she hates it, even though it suits me fine. In addition to serving as a phone, I need it to have Voice Search, Google Maps and Navigation, and an app like Color Note where she can store personal data and reminders. BTW - this is a stupid question but I'll ask it anyway since I haven't been able to get a straight answer anywhere else - Do all apps in the Android market run on all Android phones?

Not all apps run on all phones but the Market does filter the apps it shows you based on compatibility data provided by the developer.
