Help- Issue with Nova Launcher

I have a gesture that when I flick up on my home screen, it toggles the notification bar. Yesterday, all of a sudden when I flick to hide, not only does the notification bar hide, but so does the wallpaper and the background turn signal black. When I flick again to bring the notification bar back, the background comes back. Any ideas? I have sent an email to nova support, but got an email they our out for a bit. Thanks

Are you able to disable the gesture altogether? You may want to delete it and then recreate it and see if that resolves the issue.

Well i just turned it off. Left it like that for about an hour. Then recreated it and no luck.
