Android Central Question

Hi All,

I just realized I've lost all my Google Keep reminders. This happened to me after the last update a few days ago of my Oneplus 6.

I had a lot of important ones. Does anyone know if it's possible to get them back?

Thanks,
Joan Cambras

Welcome to Android Central! If you go to Google Keep on your computer browser, do you see them there?

Hi B. Diddy, they don't appear in the browser on my PC either. The notes do, but the reminders don't.

Maybe they transitioned to Google Assistant. In Google Assistant, tap or say "Show me my reminders."

On your browser, go to Google.com, and in the search bar, just type "Show me my reminders."

Thank you very much B. Diddy! Doing this I see again the list of my reminders in Chrome and have copied them to a text file. At least I didn't lose them! Is there some automatic way to get them back into my Google Keep notes without having to add them one by one?

By the way, I have a laptop that I haven't used lately. Maybe if I open it without internet connection I will see an old version of my Google Keep notes with the reminders. But in this case, how do I make the notes on the laptop prevail.

Great! I just realized a couple of other things to check in Keep -- tap the menu icon and look in Archived and Trash. Let's check there first before considering what to do with the old laptop.

I've looked in Archived Notes and in the trash but I don't see anything. The notes are still on the label where I had them but without the reminder.

I tried to reinstall the Google Keep application on my android phone, but the notes still appear without a reminder.

The old laptop won't help either. I have started it without internet but as I access Google Keep from the browser I can't see the notes. When I have connected it to the internet, they appear but without the reminder.

The only place where the reminders appear is in the browser when I click "Show me my reminders".

I don't understand how all the reminders could have disappeared at once, maybe an update of my Oneplus 6. In view of all this problem, I think it would be very good if Google Keep allowed to automatically make periodic backups of the notes on Google Drive.

I think this is mission impossible. I've already made up my mind to add them one by one by hand.

Thank you so much for your help, B. Diddy!

Well, I'm glad you were able to recover them at least partially! Google's various note/reminder apps and functions have been a confusing mess lately. You can set up reminders in Google Assistant, Google Calendar, Google Keep, and Google Tasks. I'm not quite sure which ones are interchangeable/syncable, because they keep changing things.
