[HELP ME!] Htc one x wont turn on or charge :'(

Okay, so today I went to turn my phone off and after I unlocked it, the screen went white and it was stuck on the booting animation. I left it for 45 minutes to an hour and it got pretty warm. I then held the power button for a while and the home back and recent apps buttons started flashing. the screen went off and i left it for a bit.

Once home I plugged it in to my laptop and the charge light wouldnt come on, I was looking around and people say hold the power button and down on the volume for 30 seconds then hold the power button for 5 seconds. After this. nothing happened.

Have you tried holding the power+volume up?
