Help me pick.

Hey guys, just got my wife a kindle fire, and like it OK, but if I'm gonna root and flash rooms, which would be better for the long haul, a Nook color or the kindle fire. Gonna post this in the kindle section too. Not starting a flame war, just don't know which has the better hack support.

Nook Color. Specs are fairly close and Color has bootable SD slot for rooting and storage. You can always install the Kindle app if you need to share books with the missus....

Thanks thats what I was leaning toward, just want to make sure when available I can go to cm9. Also, is there anything I should look for/avoid when I go to get one? I.e. don't buy a new one because of new firmware/software, don't get model # *****, ect
