HELP: MHL Cable for JVC Stereo ?

I've got a JVC stereo in my car and i'd like to make use of the MHL features so that i can use the sat nav through the screen on there with the S8. The stereo is a JVC-KW-V30BT

I've never used MHL at all and a few cables i've seen say they as an example " It does not support USB-C smartphones and tablets, for most of them work with with MHL solution or SlimPort solution instead of DP Alt mode"

Does anyone have an idea of what cable i need which might work ? uk based

S8 does not use MHL... I believe the S5 was the last to use it. The S8 uses the "Hdmi over usb-c" standard.

So I’ve got a problem then

Do you know if there would be any way to get it working with an adapter etc or am I just flogging a dead horse
