HELP: My earphones are not working on my phone but it works on other devices!

I've been using my earphones for months and it was perfectly compatible with my device, even though i bought it from a store it works well with my phone even the microphone works. But then this morning i was using my earphones bcause i was watching a movie, i installed an app and then when i exit the app my earphones were magically not working even though it was connected, i did a research on youtube, i cleaned the jack but nothing happened, i tried my earphones on another device but it perfectly worked! Can someone please help mem? I really dont have the money to buy a new one...

Try uninstalling the app you installed just before they stopped working.

Having the exact same problem on my p10 lite from huawei. Using a pair of skullcandy-s trrs.
Suddenly stopped working in a morning.
NOTICE: Every other headphones work( trs/trrs), and the problematic pair of headphones work on any other device. This must be a software issue idk.

Same problem with my Mate10, I think that happened after my last update.

Try the app in post 5. If that doesn't fix it, Lesser AudioSwitch may be of some help.

Same problem here on p10 lite with original earphones. They work everywhere, with the app to switch the audio to earphones from post 9 they work, but my phone still doesn't recognize them. The app in post 5 doesn't help. Every other 3.5mm plug i have is recognized.

Hi there i had this happen to me before that i put the headphones in and didnt work so i was trying to figure out why sometimes when you put your headphones in the volume was all the way down so another words when you plug your headphones in you have to turn the volume up on your phone and they have the volume all the way down i dont know why it does this but thats what happend to me so just to let you know
