Help!? My galaxy S3 Mini screen stays totally black when starting. The LEDs light up and the phone makes all the typical startup noises and beeps. I must be fair and say that the unit did get very briefly dunked in salt water..ouch!, but we have thoroughly dissected it and cleaned it (followed by a long soak in rice) at least six times. We finally got it to where no salt crystals exist anymore or reform. The only part we couldn't do was behind the digitizer, so we replaced the entire front section, frame, digitizer, and all. However, the symptoms are still as stated above. No changes. I am wondering if it got "bricked" somehow and what to do. Other than that, any ideas??

You replaced the whole screen assembly (~$180)?
And you're sure it's connected correctly?
It sounds like the phone is running correctly. I don't suppose you have an MHL<>HDMI adapter...

Yes, I replaced the whole screen assembly with a new genuine Samsung unit. No, I do not have an adapter.

Well, I'd suggest tearing it apart again and rechecking the connection for the screen. If that doesn't pan out I'd have to assume that something got fried on the motherboard. Sorry.
