Hi, totally new to smart phones and android. Just purchased a chinese Hero H2000 (Not a HTC phone). Its a great little phone but I cant get my windows 7 to recognize it properly thus cant load anything to the 16g micro SD I have installed. Under "Computer" it shows as a removable disk "E" but when I try to open it I'm told to "please insert a disk to removable drive e". Could it be a driver issue or USB issue???? In my device manager it comes up as a "MT65xx Android Phone" says driver not installed. I tried update driver but cant find anything on the net ... there is lots of people selling this phone but nothing found for support. don't even know what company makes this phone Any advice to help this newbie will be appreciated.

Hello.

Also a newbie here. I have the chinese H7000 which im sure has the same OS as the H2000.

It is running Android 2.2.1

In response to the original post go into settings>applications>development then disable usb debugging and then I was able to trasfer files onto my 16gb micro sd card.

I was hoping to get help here to load a custom ROM onto my chinese android knock off, I can give whatever info needed but im not sure what is relevant.

The chinese model number shows up on windows as "mt65xx" which I think is the same as "mt6516"

Baseband in the "about" section of my settings says "maui" followed by letters and numbers if that is important. I do not know how to take screenshots.

Kernel is 2.6.32.9 if that matters.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance.

**edit - I should have noted that I rooted this phone easily with "z4root".
