Help needed with S6 music problem

Hey hoping some of the gurus on this site can shead some insight. I just got a brand new s6 first day using it. Anyway I put a bunch of mp3s I had on my old g3 that worked fine also played fine on my computer. But when I played the mp3 (about 760 of them ) on the s6 music app. I encounter a issue. Basically what happens with the 30 or 40 songs I tried at random I press the mp3, it plays all is normal no error message song sounds fine. But randomly at differentiating times the audio cuts out and is silent then starts again (for about 5 seconds) and the song resumes about 5 seconds later in the song. This seems to be happening with every one of the 700 songs at Random times during playback. Does. Any have any idea what could be causing this?? I have tried restarting the phone no luck. And no factory reset won't help this is BRAND NEW. so if I can't solve this I'll have to return my phone to MTS and probably get charged . (because it must be defective as far as I see) and get a different one (I'm thinking a lg g4)

Have you tried using a different Music Player app? Does the same happen there?

You are getting notifications that interrupt the play

Good point, maybe they are notifications!

In the previous release, when the notification hit, the notification sound would play through whatever speaker was being used to play the music, or in my case, book on tape and was readily obvious. In MM, it only plays very very faintly through the phone speaker and it is easy to miss, but the music pauses and then resumes.

Just a thought ...

Since it's brand new , why not try to exchange another one ...?
Better yet , bring some music and up load right there at the store and play them all see if it makes any different ..!
