help new EVO & youtube wont play

My BF just got the EVO (I have the shift) and when he tries to play YouTube it says that there was a problem while trying to play tap again to retry. I tried playing the same video and it works so it seems to be the phone. Does anyone have any advice to try??? I appreciate anything to try. He checked for updates and restarted the phone and it didn't help any.

Have you tried youtube on WiFi,3g,4g?

Does it not work on any of these networks?

Somewhere on this site there is a streaming audio/video fix, you may have to search for it or someone else here can point you to the link. Or Sprint has a fix for it, you can call them and tell them and they will tell you how to fix it.

youll need your MSL no matter what, so i would just call Sprint from another phone and they will walk you through the steps to change your proxy address. 1-800-639-6111 and option 3 (i believe) for tech support
