Help: Nexus 5, Samsung Gear2 Neo, and apps

I just got both of these yesterday and for the most part, I have the watch synced with my phone. However, I can't figure out if or how I can install Samsung applications just for my watch. Is it not possible since I have a Nexus phone or will I need a Samsung phone to do it?

Welcome to Android Central! As far as I know, Samsung smartwatches only work with Samsung phones and tablets.
