Hello everyone!
I can't seem to be able to root my samsung galaxy S4 GTi9505 snapdragon (unlocked, bought outright carrier free, in Australia). I have been searching forums and googling for help, but the solutions didn't help me.
I used motochopper and one click root. With motochopper, the message is: 'adb is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file'. With one click root, the message is: 'device not detected. make sure debugging mode is on' (or something along those lines).
I have completed the following:
- tried rooting from both a windows and a mac with motochopper
- downloaded and installed kies on both mac and windows. also made sure it's the latest version of adb.exe, and it is running
- developer mode is enabled and so is usb debugging
- device is connected as a media storage device
- device is recognised when i connect to windows (however it won't mount on a mac)
- moving the adb file into a different directory
and still no success.
i have disabled/deleted/force stop some samsung bloatware, so perhaps i have disabled something i shouldn't have in the process? i am not exactly sure.
please help! thank you very much.
