HELP.....Optimus V keeps on rebooting in to recovey
i was running the Stock Virgin Mobile + Xionia Kernel and i got a notice for and update. so i go to recovery to do a nandroid backup after is done i reboot to try to update and see what the update was but my phone never booted, i did a battery pull and now every time i reboot or boot it goes straight into recovery. i can restore my backups but nothing. the phone just keeps on rebooting in to recovery. HELP

any ideas

I had thunder but just an hour ago i manage to flash clockwork via ROMTools but same thing it reboots right to clockwork now

Edit: just flash xionia CWMA via romtools im ganna try to fix the loop. i read xionia can do it

Edit: i think i fixed it with out going back to stock and starting fresh. i did the following:

1. Download it ROMTools from http://androidforums.com/lg-optimus...3-1-ex-recoveryflasher-tons-new-features.html

2. Once i got ROMTools running i got Xionia's recovery here http://forum.androidcentral.com/lg-...covery-xionia-clockwork-cwma-v1-2518-5-a.html (just the xionia_cwma_12518.5.img not the flash.ing)

3. I followed the ROOMTools instructions on the FAQ section
FAQ
Can I use this with a different recovery?
-Yes. Any recovery can be used for the supported devices.
-To use an alternate recovery for the V or S, rename the new recovery to vrecovery.img and replace the 'vrecovery.img' included with the new one.

4. open ROOMTools and follow option "2. Flash recovery to phone" is simple just follow on screen instructions. at the end you should reboot in to xionias recovery

5. once on xionias recovery go to "Fix Recovery Loop" option under "Advanced", gets you out of an infinite recovery reboot loop. and wala. this just fixed mine

thanks to:
mmmark111 for ROOMTools
zefie for xionias recovery
CyanogenMod for Clockwork Recovery
and others that im sure im missing

Uhh, thunder recovery 1.2.0 made for the optimus v should have been good enough for you... If it's not broken, don't fix it.

I dont think the recovery was broken cus everything work, zip, mounting and data clearing it just booted right to it

can't get into system recovery mode - please help

I have a dumb question. Sorry if this is redundant or ignorant, but I am a total noob.
I also have an LG Optimus V. I flashed a custom ROM (aospCMod-OV-20110307-signed) it loads up fine, but whenever I power down it performs a system wipe & restores as if its brand new. Is this the same thing people are referring to as a "recovery loop"? Or is this a different problem. I have been searching through forums for hours now over teh past several days & cannot seem to get clarification.

Now I cannot get back to recovery mode. I have tried using the hardware buttons method as well as ROM Tools, as well as reboot/recovery option when I press the power button on the phone.

Please, please, please someone take pity on me & offer some guidance.
Thanks so much.
