Hi all - I've been searching for hours to see if I can recover my deleted photos from my galaxy s3. My 200 + pictures were on my device's memory. I've downloaded several versions of photo recovery software but they don't recognize my S III storage to scan it. I don't know what else to do. I'm using a mac, should I try a PC? I don't have any backup enabled and my phone isn't rooted. I've learned my lesson, I guess, but can't someone tell me how to hack into my phone to get my precious pics? Pretty please?? Or should I just face the music that my pictures and videos are toast?

Thanks for any advice you can give!!!

Are you sure you lost the photos or maybe you just can't find them. When you go settings>Storage what does it show for Pictures, Video? Also, what did you do that you think you lost your photos? In future mosy camera apps will allow you to set the storage location of photos and I would recommend the external SD card

Try Recuva on a PC. Worked for me.

Yes, I'm sure I lost them - there's nothing there under storage, except for three pictures I took without realizing I lost the others. I have no idea what I did - I think my phone was unlocked and I erased them in my pocket. Thanks for the help!!

If the pictures are really important (and willing to pay), maybe you can contact some data recovery specialists to see if they can get the pictures for you?

I would DL dropbox and use the auto photo upload. Every time you take a pic it gets uploaded to the cloud.

It would take a whole lot of moving around for all your pics to be deleted by just being in your pocket. If you have a file manager (if not, download one) and search all the media or picture folders to see if they're still in the phone. Or plug the phone into a pc and search through the folders that way. Unless you have a midget in your pocket, it would almost be impossible for all your pics to be deleted from your phone just being unlocked in your pocket. I don't even think there's an option in the gallery to delete all the pics at once unless they all got checked and deleted as a batch. Keep searching and let us know. Good luck

My GS3 sleeps in the bed and I make my girlfriend sleep on the couch

In the gallery, is Backup + pictures listed?
They should be there.

I've tried everything...am wasting hours on this literally and I'm not really a computer expert. I'm calling a data recovery specialist as gwappa suggested - didn't know that existed! I am definitely willing to pay good money for these pictures and videos. If I could I would hire a hacker :-) I'll update my progress here and I will use a backup program from now on like dropbox. Thanks for the help everyone!

This data recovery for android is focus on android phone, but it is run on Windows platform, you need connect your phone to PC with USB cable.
Do not add new files to your phone because it may overwritten your phone so you may lost your photos forever.
Most of the data recovery software provide preview lost files before you pay, so you can check if your photos can be recovered.

If u do call or use some software stuff. Stop using your phone don't do any thing. If u keep using your your just causing the wipe b permanent.

Here's an update. I felt really stupid but I got my pictures!! My work IT person suggested I take my SD card out and put it back in again. It had become dislodged and all my pictures were on there. To make a long story short I would have never suspected it was a problem. Thanks everyone for your input. I am constantly backing things up now...

Try downloading sdrescan app from play store and run it on phone, then connect to p...,
