Android Central Question

My Samsung S7 edge cell phone screen is cracked in the front so I want to replace it. I looked at the ink/picture and it doesn't seem to be damaged at all - just the screen itself.

I went to ebay to find a replacement screen and there were some that were only $12 and some that were over $100. I'm not sure which to get to get to meet my needs.

I'm thinking I can get the cheaper ones without the LCD replacement - is that correct?

Also, there seems to be mail in repair services that will repair my phone for like $50 even though the local companies seem to charge $300 to repair my phone for me (I'd rather buy a new phone for that price). Anyone use a cheap repair service and feel comfortable with them? I'm wary and am leaning against it for now but last time I tried fixing an ipad on my own, I didn't do a fantastic job.

I don't recommend trying to replace just the glass. The glass and LCD are glued together. Surprisingly one of the vendors I use, still lists the screens over $200. You're in a conundrum. Where are you in options of upgrading through your carrier?
