Had iPhones & on connection to Audi Music Interface all tracks, albums, playlists etc show & you control from steering wheel.
On trying this, all I get from interface is "next" or "previous" all albums, playlists or track info is gone. Do you know if I should get all the stuff or was it simply an iPhone thing? If it was only iPhone, if I transfer my music to SD Card & put that in will it work same?
Thanks

Never had much luck with AMI. iPod works OK. Disconnects sometimes and I have to unplug/replug to get it started. Tried the SD card slot. Never got that to work. Switched to satellite radio.

I have an audi S5 but have never connected the samsung S5 or new s7 edge to it just use the audi wifi in the car and listen to sirus/xm most of the time I did put some music on a sd card as it has 2 sd card slots plus the Sim for the cellular wifi in the car and it will read all the folders and play the songs from the folder so you can make a Playlist just put all the songs you want into that folder

It works for me on Bluetooth connection. Tried it on my S8 and Q7. They did change the media interface with the 2017 Q7 though, not as good IMO.

I cannot stream music in my 2011 Q5 (calls only-limitation of the car) but I have had the related problem of not being able to import my contacts from the phone. I've had HTC phones for years (most recently, the M9) and never had this problem. My guess is that the Audi MMI doesn't play well with Samsung phones.

That's weird all my contacts appear in the audi phone app just fine.

Just a thought but just after you pair the phone to the car with Bluetooth it normally pops up with an allow access to phone contacts message on the phone, did you get that message?

if not perhaps delete phone from car and phone and try again?
