help please!!

I have tried everything i know to get movies on my Tab. I have converted them to xvid, avi, and mpeg4, nothing is working. The stock player, and rock player won't open or play them.
I am using dvd decrytor and vidomi to get avi. Then I use pavtube to convert them to mp4.
What am I doing wrong?

i probably wont respond right away because i need to run to work. but what is the original form that you are recieving these movies, are you ripping them or downloading them through a torrent or something like that?

Thanks for the response, I was doing every thing right. I just had a bad sd card. I guess I got what I paid for. Everything is working great now.
