Hi All,

I've got a HTC one m8 and I have trouble connecting it to the car's handsfree.
Mobile - HTC one M8, Android Lollipop - 5.0.1, software version - 4.18.720.8
Make - Ford, Model - Falcon, Manufacturing year - 2013

Problem
When I scan for devices my phone scans for quite a long time and
shows the bluetooth address(probably) of the handsfree. when I connect,
a 16 digit key is requested whereas the handsfree shows 4 digit passkey.

Observation
Somewhere I read that I need to enable some options in advanced. But i dont
see an advanced option in Bluetooth. I tried to pair it with my windows laptop
and it works like a charm.

Your responses would be highly appreciated.
Thanks.
SSk.

Let your device scan longer.
I have often seen the mac address show up for a device but if im patient it will then switch to the devices name instead. Once the name shows i then try to pair.
I have a ford F150 and my M8 synced fine with it.
Also you might want to check with the ford site and make sure the software in your cars media device is up to date.
I got my truck new a few months ago and it needed 3 updates.
