HELP - Router Blocking Twitter Apps

I just setup a new router and I am unable to receive information from ANY twitter app (though twitter.com through the browser works) when connected to the router. Every other app works fine with this internet connection including the Facebook part of FriendStream. The router is the Cisco Valet M10. I don't know much about wireless networks so I need some help figuring out what is causing this and how to fix it. Any thoughts?

So when you turn off wireless on the phone you get your twitter updates?

It just randomly started working shortly after I posted this. It was weird. Never happened again.
