Hello Everyone!
I tried to use the Unrevoked 3.32
method to root my Evo.....
The last message I got from the unrevoked application
was something about my evo being new (forgot... not really sure)..
I rebooted my phone on the screen where
there are androids skating..... It says S-OFF
but then theres no root or recovery!?!
I tried rerunning the Unrevoked application
and went the error message about my evo
being to new came on again!?!
Still says S-OFF but nothing!!! No root
or Clockwork D:
Any help is appreciated!!

Put this file on your sdcard: PC36IMG.zip

(you'll probably need to mount your sdcard in another device or a card reader since you can't get your phone to boot up)

Then boot your phone, it will scan the card and ask if you want to apply the update, hit yes, when it asks to reboot, hit no and choose recovery from the menu.

That PC36IMG.zip file contains clockworkmod version 2.6.0.1 - after you do this you can install a rom from your sdcard through recovery.

Thanks!!! Clockwork was installed successfully using the file!
Now for the root.... how would I be able to gain root access on my phone!?

I'm not really sure where your phone is at now, an easy thing to do would be to download a rooted rom and install it from recovery.

Then you'll be rooted with a custom recovery and s-off - it's hard to say because you didn't get to finish the process of using unrevoked.

Are you able to boot your phone up normally?

Yes, I'm able to actually, no problems in booting at all

@igotsanevo4g
Haha, and what rom would you recommend to be the
best in terms of speed and quality?

You could download the super user app from the market to get root access on your stock rom.

I recommend CM7, MYN's, or vaelpak.

CM7 is stock 2.3.2 android with the heavy and great modding of the cyanogen team, MYN is themed/improved/fast sense, and vaelpak is a rom based on the sense framework with sense removed so you still have everything working.
CM7 doesnt have HDMI or 4G working btw.

Dont forget to nandroid backup.

Nope, I don't have the superuser app installed....

Just checking to see how far along unrevoked got.

Yeah, your best bet would be to flash a rooted rom. There are a million and a half choices :), not literally but.. there's a lot. You can get everything from pure android to a stock rom just with root on it depending upon where you want to start. I'm sure you'll switch around a lot, it's part of the fun of it all.

Check out this: EVO 4G Android Development - xda-developers

(check out the wikis at the top too)

personally I switch between EviO and CM6.1.2 / CM7 nightlies.

Thanks!
Thanks for everyone's Reply!
I found out how to perm. root my
Evo by using z4Root (Required NandUnlock for perm. which I had)!
I did a Nandroid Backup Just to be safe ^^
Once again, thanks everyone ^^
