Every time I get to the point for the second zip to run.It will never say press volume up to update. Can some give another link to a good zip or inform me of what I did wrong. Please

Make sure the file is named correctly with a file manager or place the card in a reader and mount as a disk on your cpu - file MUST be named PG05IMG.zip - if you are using a pc sometimes the settings are set to hide file extensions - if this is the case your file is actually named PG05IMG.zip.zip and you will have to erase one of the .zips

File also has to be on the root (in the main directory - not inside any folder) of the sd card.

I ran the first zip fine after rename to pg05img.zip for downgrade zip. Its just ever time i run the second zip it never says volume up for update.I was thinking of doing the auto root method for mac. The only thing is will it work with mr2 zip on my phone or should i run the downgrade zip in hboot then run the auto root?

so you selected bootloader and in scanned for the PG05IMG.zip but it didnt find it.
when you are in hboot (white screen) does it say s-on or s-off at the top?

S off is at the top and I'm also stuck with downgrade zip.

Do you think i should just do the auto root. I had to run the leaked mr2 to stop reboots.

I am not a rooting expert - but this is what i think you have done, and what i think you can do - hopefully somebody more familiar with the rooting process can back this up or correct me if i am wrong -

You performed the downgrade and pushed everything you need onto your phone - since you have s-off and you were able to flash a new radio. But from what you've said, you were unable to flash the rooted MR1 Ruu.

So, what i would do now is flash try to flash the mr1 ruu found here:
[ruu][rooted][MR1 aka OTA] CONFIRM Build Number: 1.13.605.7 Baseband: 1.16.00.0402w_1 - xda-developers
This will leave you with MR1 stock, with root enabled.
From there, you should make a nandroid backup before you continue, and then you can flash the MR2.x radio if you choose and whatever compatible rom you wish.
