HELP! sms messaging not working android 4.0.4

Hello! I have recently ordered from China the Lenovo K860 smartphone, which has Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. The only problem I have with it is the sms messaging. It it not because of the message center number, I already checked it, it is correct. I reseted to the factory data, installed the apps from scratch and it's still not working. I tried to play around with the *#*#4636#*#*, I changed and rechanged the network type, I turned on sms over ims and yet, it is not working. Please help!

Same happened to my phone , but i had to get it reset at the retailer , not sure if its the os or just the phone, does anybody know?
