HELP! Suggestions on a reliable Text Backup App for Note 5 Stock Texts

Hi, so I have been noticing A LOT of lag on my Texting app with the mother of my son, and the reason being is because I have THOUSANDS of texts in that thread. Texts that will help me legally in a possible custody battle, but my Note 5 is starting to lag due to the amount of back and forth messages. So I'm trying to see if y'all know which is a Reliable App for Text Backup to a cloud or something that will keep them safe, that way I can delete the thread from my phone and continue to enjoy this amazing device. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I use SMS Backup & restore from Carbonite. Excellent app. Xports with dates and time included with the message. I've never liked the cloud, so I have mine sent to my desktop.

Another good app is Super Backup Pro. I use it and find it very easy to use both to backup TXT, call logs, etc. as well as to save to a cloud.

I forgot to mention that Super Backup Pro and the newer Super Backup All in One apps also back up all of your program apk files. If you have to do a factory reset you can then reinstall without doing each app separately.
