Hello all,
I've done my research before asking this question and I haven't been able to find anything relevant to my problem. Since the lastest version of Android's 2.3.3 I noticed Facebook no longer syncing pictures, new friends, lastest updates, and what not in the contacts. If I understood correctly, it has something to do with Facebook concerned about privacy? I was never a big fan of the Facebook sync, since I barely use Facebook. Not to mention half of my friends didn't keep their number on their profile information and the majority I don't talk to on a regular basis. So since it was there and it kept updating I never bothered to mess with it. Since the update and the no sync between Facebook and Android/Motorola I decided it's not worth keeping the contacts through Facebook since their not syncing or updating.
First off, I found that Facebook is not listed under accounts for some odd reason. I tried to add a Facebook account so I could readjust the settings. It told me that more then one account was not allowed, but as mentioned no Facebook account was shown. So I checked the market app installed on my phone, no options there and I don't use the stock Facebook widget. I went to Google listed under accounts, unchecked the Sync Contacts spot. So I thought I'd give it a try, deleted all but the contacts I needed. Woke up the next morning and some, but not all came back.
The last resort is to factory reset, which would reset some things that can't be synced. I'm asking for help to see if there's something I'm somehow missing. Hopefully some of you more experienced Android users can point me in the right direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I'm running the latest version of stock Android.
Thanks, Joel
