Help! Unable to save contacts error message.

I just got my my s4 last week and I'm still getting use to the new features.
Moving on, I have a problem with trying to edit or save contacts to my phone book. I tried clearing the cache but that didn't work.
I want my contacts to specifically be saved on my SIM card. I only I have 22 contacts. Those contacts can be exported to the device and be edited but it can not save when imported back to the sim.
Any suggestions or ideas on how to fix this.

I figured out the problem. The problem was that because I had my wifi calling active; it wouldn't save my contacts to my sim.

It took me forever to figure out when trying to sync my contacts to my facebook contacts....if your contact has their phone number visible on facebook then the number has to match identically. Facebook edits their numbers with + 1 area code and number. Most contacts in my phone were not saved with the +1 in front of the area code so the phone would not let me sync them together. I had to edit the numbers to add the +1 first and then i was able to sync them all. Its a long process but this is the only thing I've found thus far to prevent that unable to save error message.
