HELP - Water Damage

Good Morning Everyone,

I'm from the Note 10.1 forum but I figured I'd ask my question here as well. My 5 yo grandson thought he should clean the screen of his Tab 2 7.0 by holding it under running water. At first it would go past the Samsung screen, now it won't do anything. I didn't see any water under the screen. What should I do?

Put it in a big gallon size bag of rice for a few days and hope for the best. Water damage is a 50/50 shot, sometimes it turns out okay and other times not.
