Help with 3G

I have never had this problem before or read about it. I keep wifi on at my house cause it's faster. Well tonight I went to plug my phone in and I took it off wifi but my 3G won't come up. I've tried everything. Pulled battery out, went to airplane mode and then back tried to update prl. I can't get my 3G to come back on. I have an app called quick settings that I've had for a long to turn off my 3G to save battery and it just says connecting.I've deleted the app and downloaded it back again and nothing. This has never happened to me before. How can I get. My Internet back? I am really lost on this one. It's like it's locked up and wont come back on. Thanks

By the way I have almost full reception just to let u know. I'm on stock 2.1 rooted and nothing has changed on this phone for 2 wks. No new apps or nothing.

Have you tried a factory reset? Maybe not the answer you were looking for, but if a reset doesn't fix it, then it's probably a hardware issue.
