Help with an issue regarding the Facebook Application

First off I know you need to know my version of Android but I am not sure how to get that info for you, so if anyone can help here that is great. I have the newer Motorola Razzr Maxx that has awesome battery life if that helps.

Here is where my question begins. I had a previous Android phone that had an older version of Android, maybe 2.0 I setup facebook on it, and it immediately pulled in all 600 of my friends on facebook as contacts, and it sucked because I could not figure out how to reverse it (probably because I did not know about you guys here at this forum). Well, I want to setup Facebook on my new phone, but I dont want to go have this happen so I am wondering if anyone knows how to go about preventing this.

When you first log into Facebook on your phone, it will ask you if you want to import your Facebook contacts into your phone. UNCHECK the box, and it won't do that.

Thank you sir. I thought it was kind of cool, how it would use my facebook friends profile pics, but I guess you have to give up one for the other lol.

To find out your Android version, go to Settings->About phone.
