I recently got a new phone, Samsung Galaxy S8, with up-to-date Android. On my previous phone, if I selected "Compose" for text messaging it would open a blank text message and allow me to enter a name or a phone number in the "To" space.
Now, when I hit the compose button, it brings me straight to contacts and it won't open up a blank text message until I select a contact. I also can't enter a phone number that isn't already saved to contacts.
How can I change my settings to the previous settings instead of... whatever this is.
