Hi everyone, I'm a new user of a Chinese Phone running andoid 4.1.1. I'd say I'm not an expert with android; i switched OS when my HTC (WM6.1) did an unexpected factory reset.
I'm quite satisfied of this phone; it's supposed to be a MT65xx branded ALPS P550T dual sim phone. I rooted time ago and except a little (big) issue concerning contacts db, it runs pretty good.
Straight to the issue....phone app (or OS I don't know) does not store any phone call contact (in/out/missing) after reaching 17 records. To be more precise, I checked manually contacts2.db under data\data\android.provider....contacts\contacts2.db using SQL lite editor. The "call" table contains all phone calls (in/out/missing) as well as all the information about which sim, call duration etc. When record number reaches 17, no more phone calls are recorded in the table although they are correctly reported in OS upper status bar (i.e. missing call from.....). I cannot figure out if there is a specific setting somewhere or special file access right or any other related table is corrupted. I cannot say if it worked correctly before rooting because I did it almost immediately after purchased. I've read some posts relating to a similar issue with some android 4.1 phones; basically, missing calls are not listed correctly if the screen is in portray but they reappear if the screen is landscape oriented, but, alas, this is not my issue.
Is there anyone around experiencing the same issue? Any help would be really appreciated.
Thank you all for suggestions

Welcome to the forums!
Try opening up the phone app and hit menu. There may be call settings there. Try that. If that doesn't work, I would say it's a bug in that version of Android.
