help with credit card reader

I have a note 2 phone and recently a galaxy tablet 4 7" to use with my credit card reader.
Reader works on phone but not on tablet.
Using pampered chef app and card reader. ... what am I doing wrong?

The reader may not be configured for the tablet. Have you emailed who made it and let them know? Perhaps there is something related to the hardware that it won't/can't work?

Could be hardware. I know with the square card reader of will work with a Samsung galaxy player 4.0 but not with the galaxy player 5.0 due to some kind of hardware incompatibility issue with the headphone jack on the 5.0.

It should be on the "list of devices with compatibility issues" on the companies website.
