I'm a convert to the android world, previously a blackberry own. I must say this phone is amazing. I live in Trinidad and Tobago, my girlfriend and i got our phones on the same day both with ICS installed. In my impatience to wait for the official update to JB, i downloaded and installed JB from another region via Odin. A few days later the official OTA update was offered on my girlfriend's phone. Now everything works fine, but my question is would it affect future OTA updates?
To be safe, I decided i would try to locate the official firmware for my region. the version on her phone is i9300ubdli2. I located it on Sammobile.com and downloaded the zip. the problem i'm having is that there is no .tar file inside, it's a bunch of folders. so i'm not sure what to do with that. can anyone assist?
