help with gingerbread update!

ok so i tried to update to gingerbread with the tutorial. i installed the v9 recovery but the screen boots into a black screen. how to fix this to install 2.3.3?? thanks!

The tutorial covers this. Basically you have to work blind.

For other folks benefit, you can either do a few steps blind or run android screencast, which you already have from the zvh rooting packages.
