Help with ICS Rom for first timers and more.

I've been with Android since last year on my first and current phone, the HTC G2 under T-Mobile. Its a great device, and still works and looks new, best phone investment I've ever made. I got the G2 a year ago, and I'm using Gingerbread. I'm not too sure if it will get ICS anytime soon, since its kind of old. Anyway, I've never installed a rom or played with my phone that way. As I was doing research for it, it seemed pretty serious and very scary. I dont want to ruin this phone, since it would void warrently. I want to know what is the best ICS port for the G2, and the best way to do it, without ruining it.

Any tips? I'm not tech-dumb. As soon as I got the phone I found it easy to use, android isnt complicated for me.

there is always a chance of bricking it, but usually can be unbricked

go look over xda developers for your device
