Help with MIUI 12 Xiaomi

My Nokia 7.2 running Android One toasted today and was refunded by Argos.

I'm considering the Redmi Note 10 Pro as a replacement but know nothing about MIUI. SO I'm reaching out to you Xiaomi users for advice. i.e. do Android 11 gestures work? Is the UI far removed from what I'm used to? Can I install Nova to give me some normality?

What are the software updates like?

Your help would be appreciated.

From a post I saw on Telegram, some people have said MiUI doesn't work with gestures if you use a third party launcher, but does with stock launcher. This is from one of the Niagara Launcher channels.

Thanks for that Kizzy. So it appears that you have to use the stock launcher. I just am a bit concerned regarding the use of MiUI after a long time using Android One.
Updates are also an issue I believe.

Well, after much Googling, I've decided to pull the trigger on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro. It's quite a beast of a phone for its price.
I always stated that I would never buy a Chinese product but I really can't pass up this bad boy.

I've been using my new Redmi Note 10 Pro for well over a week now and just love it. It's a beast for the price.
