Okay, so I'm getting my Epic 4G tomorrow. I've played with Android, but never owned it. I have zero intention of leaving it stock- that's just not how I roll 
Anyway, I've been lurking here, searching, etc but am still a bit lost because all the info I need seems to be scattered all over the interwebs and I'm struggling to piece it together properly. My plan is to install ACE mod since it looks to fit what I want the best and throw in a moderate overclock (as I understand Genocide kernel is included with ACE). Problem is I keep coming across so many posts about rooting, etc. that I've gotten confused as crap, so if someone could explain to me, or at least toss me some links to the process I need to go through to root the Epic, toss in Ace, etc, and have it up with minimum of fuss. How to back everything up if I need to revert it, blah blah you get the idea. I wanna get it right the first time and be rid of touchwiz, all the BS Sprint apps and bloatware, you get the idea, but I don't wanna have to spend the next 2 weeks repeatedly trying to get it right lol.
Thank's in advance, trying not to be overly noobish as this is usually second nature, but info on Android is so scattered and phone dependent that I figured it's better to ask and make sure I get the info right and get familiar with it before I have the phone.
