Help with Notification Sounds

hey guys, I've had my HTC One X for about a month now...

Something happened and my notification sounds do not play anymore... for instance, if I get a post on my facebook wall, my phone used to vibrate and play a sound indicating I had activity on my facebook. Now, it will just vibrate and not play a sound. I've checked and re-checked my sound settings and everything is the way it was (nothing's changed).

Has anyone had anything similar? Can someone please help?

I usally keep my phone on vibratr no matter what lol..

tried rebooting the device?

I've tried rebooting, uninstalling facebook and reinstalling, etc etc. Now it's not even vibrating. This is maddening!

I know this is a long shot but did you check the notification settings on both the phone and the Facebook app?
There are tons of setting choices in the app itself.

It's not your phone, it's the latest version of Facebook. It is crap and needs to be updated. This is happening across most android phones, not just us... My wife's RAZR and my daugher GNex are doing the same thing.
