Help with notification tones

Hello all. Is there a way to make each program have its own notification sound. For instance a sound for email and a seperate one for text? Also is there a way I can put my own ringtone on each app rather than the stock ones? Thanks, Chuck

Yes. doesnt each program have its own settings?

If you use handcent you can set it to use any notification you want for SMS/MMS

To add your own sounds just make a folder on your SD card named media then in there make ringtones, notifications, alarms. Then just add the media to the folders and your all set.

Ok I hook up the phone to my mac, browse the sd card, name a new folder called media, add the mp3's I made into that folder (media) then what? Thanks a lot. right now Im using ringdroid to make ringtones right on my phone whch works well. Anyway of using that to make and add notification sounds?
