Help with OTA Update...

I just rooted my thunderbolt a few weeks ago so I could tether my unlimited data to my ipad for mobile use. I am not getting an OTA update, I deferred it the first time it popped up and scheduled it to update today. My phone is rooted not sure which rom, I just followed the tutorial to downgrade and root. Question is, do I need to be stock to accept the OTA update? Also, will I be able to root my phone again after the OTA update? Thanks, sorry I'm a noob so any help is greatly appreciated.

The OTA will soft brick you. Flash this through CWM to block the OTA.
